Job summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities, including warehousing, inventory control, order fulfilment, dispatch, and fleet coordination. You will lead shift teams, optimize resources, ensure quality and safety, and maintain bonded warehouse compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination across departments, and the ability to maintain service standards while managing workloads across day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee goods receipt, put-away, order preparation, dispatch and housekeeping.
• Assess daily workloads, allocate manpower and equipment, monitor shift team leaders.
• Lead team briefings, provide coaching and performance feedback, identify training needs.
• Ensure shift reports and handovers are accurate and communicated to the incoming team.
• Promote effective communication between management and warehouse teams.
• Oversee WMS put-away strategies, inventory accuracy, stock handling and damage prevention.
• Optimize storage space, staffing, machinery, equipment and consumables.
• Ensure customer requirements are met and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Coordinate route planning, order dispatch, vehicle loading, delivery documentation and customer updates.
• Monitor fleet operations, vehicle inspections, servicing needs and distribution expenses.
• Track delivery performance and incident escalation as required.
• Enforce standard operating procedures, health and safety rules, and bonded warehouse requirements.
• Report breaches and analyze performance to improve efficiency and quality management.

• . Optimize storage space, staffing, machinery, equipment and consumables ensure resources are properly maintained.
• . Ensure customer requirements are met and resolve operational issues promptly.

Distribution & Fleet Management

• . Coordinate route planning, order dispatch, vehicle loading, delivery documentation and customer delivery updates.
• . Monitor fleet operations, vehicle inspections, servicing needs and distribution expenses, including fuel and maintenance.
• . Track delivery performance, running times, petty cash and operational incidents, escalating issues as required.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• . Enforce standard operating procedures, health and safety rules, security controls and applicable bonded warehouse requirements.
• . Report breaches of company policies, procedures or security promptly to management.
• . Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements to efficiency, accuracy and the Quality Management System.

Working Conditions

• . Work in a bonded warehouse environment availability for day or night shifts is required according to operational schedules.
