Chalhoub Group is seeking a leasing professional to oversee its retail property portfolio across the Middle East. You will manage site selection, lead lease negotiations, and coordinate budget analyses to drive store openings and terms that align with strategic objectives.

You will perform due diligence, prepare mall profiles, and ensure all lease documents are properly prepared and signed by authorized stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with local laws and corporate policies.

What you'll be doing

The role is responsible for managing the organization’s retail property portfolio, including site selection, lease negotiations, budget analysis, store openings, and uploading leasing contracts to government platforms.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Organizational: Follow all relevant Division policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Operational: Follow the day-to-day activities related to own job with minimal supervision to ensure continuity of work.
• Planning: Prepare and implement leasing plans and leasing tactics to exploit the current market supply (malls) and generate future locations for retail network outlets.
• Prepare a target list of prospective locations suitable for the type of outlets required for the business.
• Prepare mall profile and perform due diligence on prospective locations as appropriate.
• Negotiate and finalize lease terms in line with prevailing business guidelines, budgets, and any other conditions required by the business.
• Legal: Ensure that all documentation is correctly prepared and is signed by the authorized stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of local legal procedures and practices, ensuring they are upheld and/or not contradicted in lease terms.
• Ensure that lease agreements are renewed in time and changes in terms and condition or rentals are correctly recorded.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare progress reports on weekly/monthly/annual basis as appropriate, on the current status of the business; provide comments on the assessment of future market trends and prospects and propose measures and strategies to achieve or exceed the projected target.
• Evaluate historical performance, and market information on future market trends, to arrive at a rational budget projection both in terms of units and revenue so as to contribute effectively to meeting company’s overall objectives set for the year.
• Review the actual performance against budget on a regular basis to ensure that projected units and revenue targets are being achieved. In case of a short fall, examine the reasons and take corrective measures to bring it back on target.
• Marketing: Undertake Marketing Initiatives as applicable to the portfolio including competition database and new marketing strategy that is within the budget, not exhaustive and reviewed and updated as necessary.
