Job summary

Otis Elevator Company Saudi Arabia Ltd is seeking a senior accounting leader to manage the R2R function across Otis ME entities. You will guide accounting policy implementation, ensure governance over financial reporting, and lead a regional team to deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closes.

The role requires 10+ years in financial accounting with at least 5 years in manager roles, a Master's in Finance/Accounting, and CMA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in managing financial accounting functions.
• At least 5 years in progressively senior managerial roles.
• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent; CMA or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Financial Close, Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closes.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and journal entries.
• Review reconciliations, variances, and data integrity across ledgers.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the R2R team and SLA adherence.
• Drive automation and standardization across R2R processes.
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax and business units; act as finance lead.

Role Overview

The role holder is responsible for managing the accounting function within the Otis ME entities with guidance from the management, for ensuring the effective management and implementation of accounting policies as per approved guidelines. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Close & Reporting
• Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
• Analyze variances (actual vs budget/forecast/prior periods)
• General Ledger Management
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure data integrity
• Review reconciliations (balance sheet accounts, intercompany, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
• Compliance & Controls
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies
• Support audits (internal and external) with required documentation
• Maintain strong governance over financial reporting processes
• Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop the R2R team
• Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure SLA adherence
• Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Process Improvement & Transformation
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
• Drive standardization and best practices across R2R processes
• Participate in ERP/system implementations or enhancements
• Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, and business units
• Act as key point of contact for finance leadership
• Provide insights and financial analysis to support decision-making

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Support group consolidation activities where applicable

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing financial accounting functions
• At least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
• Relevant certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred
