Job summary

Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies invites a Pre Sales Engineer in Saudi Arabia to analyze client and tender requirements and recommend appropriate elevator systems. You will perform traffic analyses, prepare technical specs, and support the sales team through client meetings and RFQ responses.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with 1–3 years in elevators, CAD (AutoCAD) proficiency, and a valid KSA driving license.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent bachelor required.
• 1–3 years of experience in elevator field preferred.
• CAD (AutoCAD) knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client and tender requirements to recommend suitable elevator systems.
• Perform traffic analysis to determine elevator numbers, speed and capacity.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and input specs into E-gis.
• Coordinate drawings/layouts with shaft size and machine room details.
• Support pricing with CIF/FOB pricing input and collaborate with internal teams.
• Assist sales in meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Respond to RFQs/RFPs and tender documents with clear technical replies.
• Review tender documents and prepare compliance sheets and deviation lists.
• Transfer technical details to the execution team and assist with production/shipping as needed.

Overview Of The Role:

The Pre Sales Engineer is responsible for analyzing client and tender requirements to recommend appropriate elevator systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the sales process. This role requires technical acumen to develop specifications, perform traffic analyses, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role is achieved through a keen understanding of elevator technology, effective communication, and collaboration with sales and engineering teams to deliver tailored elevator solutions.

What You Will Do:

General

• Analyze client and tender requirements, such as building type, height, traffic flow, and usage, to recommend suitable elevator systems (passenger, freight, panoramic lifts, etc.).
• Perform traffic analysis to determine the number, speed, and capacity of elevators as required.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and input specifications into the E-gis system.
• Coordinate and prepare drawings/layouts based on technical specifications, including shaft size, machine room, pit depth, and headroom.
• Request CIF/FOB prices to factory and collaborate with internal teams to estimate pricing.
• Support sales team in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Clarify technical queries during the bidding stage and respond to RFQs/RFPs and tender documents.
• Review tender documents, identify technical requirements, prepare compliance sheets, and deviation lists, and ensure all submissions meet project specifications.
• Transfer all technical details to the execution team.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors from time to time, such as production and shipments.
