Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services is seeking an experienced commissioning professional for oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role requires leadership of large teams during pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up phases, with emphasis on safety, strict QA/QC interfaces, and cross-functional coordination.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or engineering, at least 8 years in major projects, and hands-on experience with CMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied sciences or engineering.
• 8 years in large-project commissioning in Oil & Gas, incl. 1 year supervisory/oversight.
• Experience with CMS databases (PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon) and punch list categorization.
• Strong safety culture, reporting, and communication skills; fluent English.

• Oversee service/vendor personnel during commissioning.

Qualifications*

Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience:-

8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types
Strong decision making and prioritization skills under pressuretechnical, analytical, and interface skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization
Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.

Technical and Business Skills:-

A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures of offshore site environment.
Effective coordination with all parties involved and reporting skills.
Strong organizational and technical judgment skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Excellent communication skills to read, write, and speak fluent English
Have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a commissioning performer on major Oil & Gas projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, computer literacy.
