Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services in Qatar is seeking an experienced commissioning professional for large Oil & Gas projects. The role requires leading commissioning activities, supervising service/vendor personnel, and ensuring safe handover per HSE standards.

You will work with CMS systems (PIMS/WinPCS/ICAPS/Hexagon), coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and operations teams, and maintain thorough reporting and documentation under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• 1 year of supervisory role or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Experience with Completion certificate types.
• Experience using CMS databases such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.

Qualifications*

Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience:-

8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types
Strong decision making and prioritization skills under pressuretechnical, analytical, and interface skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization
Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.

Technical and Business Skills:-

A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures of offshore site environment.
Effective coordination with all parties involved and reporting skills.
Strong organizational and technical judgment skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Excellent communication skills to read, write, and speak fluent English
Have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a commissioning performer on major Oil & Gas projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, computer literacy.
