Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services in Qatar seeks an experienced Commissioning Specialist for large Oil & Gas projects. The role requires senior hands-on pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up, with oversight of vendor personnel.

You will coordinate across interfaces, ensure safety, QA/QC, and HSE handover practices, and you must speak fluent English. A Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in Oil & Gas, incl. 1 year in supervision.
• Knowledge of Completion certificate types and punch list categorization.
• Experience using CMS databases (PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon) and QA/QC interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Strong HSE knowledge and safe handover practices.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up on major Oil & Gas projects.
• Coordinate with all parties involved and report progress under tight deadlines.

Qualifications*

Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience:-

• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types
• Strong decision making and prioritization skills under pressuretechnical, analytical, and interface skills.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization
• Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.

Technical and Business Skills:-

• A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures of offshore site environment.
• Effective coordination with all parties involved and reporting skills.
• Strong organizational and technical judgment skills
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
