Job summary

Brunel Oil & Gas Services WLL Qatar is seeking an experienced commissioning leader for telecom systems on major Oil & Gas projects. You will oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring safety and adherence to procedures and project specifications.

You will monitor contractor progress, manage punch lists, and verify dossier completeness through handover. Strong English communication and team coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied sciences.
• 8+ years of experience in large-project commissioning within Oil & Gas.
• 1 year of supervisory experience or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Proven experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up on major Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of completion certificate types and punch-list categorization.
• Hands-on experience with CMS such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Good understanding of Construction, QA/QC and Operations interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and offshore-site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the Telecom discipline on major Oil & Gas projects.
• Monitor EPC Contractor progress toward Mechanical Completion and RFSU.
• Ensure commissioning activities are executed safely and per approved procedures, project specs and HSE requirements.
• Review and follow up punch-list creation, categorization and clearance with the EPC Contractor.
• Verify completeness of Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning dossiers through final handover.
• Monitor preservation activities against project requirements and CMS.
• Participate in walkdowns, kick-off meetings, FATs, vendor meetings and punch clearance meetings.
• Provide commissioning progress reports, lessons-learned, and coordinate with Construction, Operations, HSEQ, EPC Contractor, subcontractors and vendors.

• Strong knowledge of completion certificate types and punch-list categorization.
• Hands-on experience with Completion Management Systems (CMS) such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Good understanding of Construction, QA/QC and Operations interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and safe system handover practices, with commitment to offshore-site safety requirements.
• Strong technical judgment, decision-making, prioritization and coordination skills.
• Excellent English communication, reporting and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, heavy workloads and changing priorities.
