Job summary

Airswift, a Global Manpower Provider, is sourcing a Commissioning Lead (Offshore Mechanical HVAC) for a major Oil & Gas operator in Qatar. This long-term contract role requires oversight of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover, with 28/28 offshore rotation starting ASAP. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, validate test sheets, manage punch lists, ensure CMS data integrity, and uphold HSE standards throughout mechanical completion and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in large-project commissioning in Oil & Gas
• 1 year supervisory/oversight experience
• Knowledge of completion certificate types
• Strong decision-making under pressure
• Punch list categorization expertise
• Experience using CMS data bases
• Familiarity with construction QA/QC interfaces

Responsibilities

• Witness contractors' scope of work and validate test and check sheets
• Follow-up construction activities and progress during Pre-shutdown and shutdown
• Oversee Brownfield Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities and safety compliance
• Manage punch list creation, categorisation and clearance in weekly meetings
• Verify EPC CONTRACTORs completion dossiers for mechanical completion to handover
• Monitor preservation activities to meet project requirements
• Coordinate and share Lessons Learned for project improvement
• Monitor progress of subsystems and ensure timely handovers
• Oversee and control MC, CSA, and RFSU documentation

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Commissioning Lead (Offshore Mechanical HVAC). This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below. Title: Commissioning Lead (Offshore Mechanical HVAC) Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice) Location: Qatar Offshore Working Schedule: 28 ON / 28 OFF

Key Job Accountabilities

• Witness contractors' scope of work and validate test and check sheets in accordance with project requirements.
• Follow-up construction activities and progress during Pre-shutdown and shutdown of the Brownfield WHPs & RTs.
• Oversee Brownfield offshore Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning execution activities and ensure their safety and compliant.
• Follow-up punch list creation, categorisation and clearance via weekly meeting with Contractor.
• Verify the completeness of EPC CONTRACTOR's completion dossiers for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning through to handover to permanent asset.
• Monitor and verify EPC Contractor's preservation activities and ensure it meet project requirements.
• Coordinate, capture, and share SC Lessons Learned (LL) for inclusion in the project lessons learned register.
• Monitor progress and status of subsystems using the completion management system and ensure timely handovers.
• Oversee and control all mechanical completion (MC), pre-commissioning (CSA), and commissioning documentation (RFSU).

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering Knowledge and Key Skills
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types
• Strong decision making and prioritization skills under pressure technical, analytical, and interface skills.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization
• Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
• Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.
