Job summary

Mekdam Technical Services in Doha seeks a Senior Commissioning Specialist with extensive oil and gas project experience to lead pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.

The successful candidate will oversee service/vendor personnel, coordinate with QA/QC and operations, ensure HSE standards, and maintain safe handover practices while delivering quality results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year in a supervisory role, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities on major Oil & Gas projects.
• Coordinate with construction QA/QC and Operations interfaces; ensure handover and HSE compliance.

Qualifications*

Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience:-

8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Completion certificate types
Strong decision making and prioritization skills under pressuretechnical, analytical, and interface skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of punch list categorization
Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS) data base such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
Familiarity with construction, QA/QC, and Operations interfaces.
Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.

Technical and Business Skills:-

A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures of offshore site environment.
Effective coordination with all parties involved and reporting skills.
Strong organizational and technical judgment skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Excellent communication skills to read, write, and speak fluent English
Have pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience as a commissioning performer on major Oil & Gas projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, computer literacy.
