Job summary

Brunel Oil and Gas Services WLL Qatar seeks an experienced Offshore Commissioning Lead to oversee telecom pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across offshore facilities. You will ensure systems meet project specifications, monitor contractor progress for MCC CSA and RFSU, and witness CTP execution through to handover.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 8+ years of large Oil & Gas commissioning experience, and proven supervisory capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of large-project commissioning experience in Oil & Gas.
• At least 1 year of supervisory/lead/oversight experience.
• Proven experience in Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up on major Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of completion certificate types and punch-list categorization.
• Hands-on CMS experience (PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon).
• Familiarity with Construction, QA/QC and Operations interfaces.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.
• Strong organizational, coordination, reporting and technical judgment skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee all offshore Telecom pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Executed by the EPC Contractor
• Ensure Telecom systems and sub-systems comply with project specifications and approved procedures
• Monitor contractor progress for MCC CSA and RFSU
• Activities
• Monitor commissioning schedules planning and sequencing against project milestones
• Witness CTP execution
• Walkdowns and MC RFSU certificates
• Review and validate ITRs test and check sheets submitted by the contractor
• Follow up punch-list creation categorization and clearance
• Participate in offshore contractor subcontractor and vendor coordination meetings
• Verify completion dossiers for Mechanical Completion Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning through handover
• Monitor completion status using the Completion Management System CMS and ensure timely system handovers
• Support Operations OESS during start-up including PTW and SIMOPS coordination
