Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Distributed Systems team, focusing on scale, performance, and resilience for the Serverless offering. You will tackle deep distributed systems challenges around node communication, indexing, and data distribution across the cluster.

You will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and Java to build core components, improve indexing across machines, and maintain cluster coordination as nodes churn.

Qualificações

• Strong background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Proficiency in core Java and data structures.
• Ability to work on highly distributed systems without off-the-shelf services.
• Experience building features with broad impact across multiple machines.

Responsabilidades

• Build and operate core pieces of the Serverless Elasticsearch offering.
• Improve indexing and cluster coordination for scale and resilience.
• Maintain cluster health as nodes join/leave and data shifts.
• Investigate performance and concurrency issues and propose fixes.
• Support engineers with complex problems.
• Own end-to-end operational investigations.
