Elasticsearch B.V. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Distributed Systems team, focusing on scale, performance, and resilience for the Serverless offering. You will tackle deep distributed systems challenges around node communication, data indexing, and cross-node management.

You will own designs end-to-end, collaborate across teams, and drive features that enable large-scale deployments while advancing AI-enhanced development and debugging."

Qualificações

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java and standard library, data structures and concurrency.
• Deep proficiency in algorithms and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end and collaborating across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate core pieces of our Serverless Elasticsearch offering.
• Improve components for concurrent and consistent indexing across machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination to keep performance as nodes churn.
• Push limits on shards, nodes, and data volumes handled by Elasticsearch.
• Own operational investigations end-to-end until issues are resolved.
