Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Elasticsearch - Distributed Systems team focused on scale, performance, and resilience in the Serverless offering. You will tackle deep distributed systems challenges around node communication and data indexing across nodes.

Responsibilities include building core pieces of the Serverless product, improving indexing coordination, and maintaining cluster health as the system scales.

Qualificações

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java and standard library.
• Deep technical proficiency in algorithms.
• Ability to work on complex, highly distributed systems without off-the-shelf services.
• Ability to build and debug features with broad impact across machines.
• Own projects from design to delivery with team collaboration.
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and debugging.
• Able to collaborate across functions and adapt to priorities.
• Work autonomously with transparent communication.

Responsabilidades

• Leverage distributed systems expertise to build core pieces of Serverless Elasticsearch offering.
• Improve components that support concurrent and consistent indexing across machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination for performance as nodes join/leave and data moves.
• Push limits on shards, nodes, and petabytes.
• Investigate performance/concurrency issues and propose solutions.
• Support engineers with complex problems.
• Own end-to-end operational investigations until resolved.
