Job summary

KultureTalent - Global Talent in Portugal is seeking an experienced Senior HR Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to strategic projects across talent management, employee relations, and organisational development.

You'll work closely with leadership to build an engaging, compliant, and people-first workplace, overseeing payroll, ensuring Portuguese labor law compliance, and driving onboarding and talent initiatives while maintaining HRIS and governance for leadership

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of HR experience including generalist duties
• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor law and HR best practices
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support in core HR areas such as compensation & benefits, performance management, employee engagement, and HR compliance
• Manage and oversee the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Ensure alignment with Portuguese labor laws, collective agreements, and internal policies
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution with professionalism
• Lead and support talent acquisition initiatives and onboarding processes
• Collaborate on HR projects including diversity & inclusion, training & development, and culture-building
• Maintain and update HR systems and records (HRIS)
• Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership decision-making
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR best practices
• Support audits and liaise with legal or regulatory bodies when needed
