Job summary

Hitachi Energy Portugal, S.A. in Portugal is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to strengthen our Substation Automation team.

You will lead control and protection scope across transmission and distribution projects, coordinating with project managers, SCADA engineers and customers to ensure successful delivery. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in control & protection engineering, excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, and willingness to travel within Portugal.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma is required.
• 5+ years experience in a control & protection engineer role.
• Excellent communication, customer interface, multi-priority and multi-tasking.
• Analytical and strategic approach.
• Proven communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English.
• Willingness to travel in Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing & commissioning for protection and control IEDs configuration for transmission and distribution substations.
• Develop protection and control concepts with project core team in collaboration with customer.
• Interact with engineering and project management teams to carry out site works effectively.
• Obtain approvals from utilities for commissioning activities of protection systems.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy safety and integrity values in daily work.
