Job summary

Hitachi Energy Portugal S.A. in Paco de Arcos, near Lisbon, seeks a project engineer to strengthen our substation automation team.

You will manage the control and protection scope (hardware, software and testing) of global projects, working closely with the project manager, SCADA engineer and customers to ensure on‑time delivery. The candidate holds an Engineering Diploma, has at least 5 years in a control & protection role, and demonstrates excellent Portuguese and English communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma required.
• At least 5 years in a control & protection engineer role.
• Excellent communication in Portuguese and English.
• Willingness to travel within Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Test & commission protection and control IEDs for substations.
• Develop protection and control concepts for transmission and distribution systems.
• Collaborate with project manager, SCADA engineer and customer.
• Coordinate site activities with engineering and project management teams.
