Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Portugal is seeking a project engineer to strengthen our Substation Automation team. You will oversee the control and protection scope, including hardware/software engineering and testing, delivering projects globally with the project manager and customer.

The role requires an Engineering Diploma, at least five years in a control & protection engineer role, and excellent Portuguese/English communication across multi-disciplinary teams. Travel within Portugal is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with focus on control & protection engineering.
• Proven experience in a control & protection engineer role (minimum 5 years).
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and customer interface skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing & commissioning for Protection and Control IEDs per customer spec (PCM600).
• Develop protection and control concepts with the project core team in collaboration with customers.
• Interact with engineering and project management teams to support site works.
• Obtain approvals from utilities for commissioning activities of protection systems.
• Adhere to Hitachi Energy safety and integrity values in daily work.
