• Monitor and manage Close of Business (COB) activities in production environments.

🚀 We’re looking for a Production Support Engineer (L1/L2) – Core Banking | 24/7 Environment

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for a skilled Production Support Engineer (L1/L2) to join a dynamic IT team in Lisbon. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of core banking production systems.

• Ensure smooth day-to-day production operations in a 24/7 support model.
• Monitor and manage Close of Business (COB) activities in production environments
• Handle incidents, BAU service requests, and infrastructure maintenance activities
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and IT governance standards

L1 Responsibilities:

• Monitor systems and respond to user queries
• Perform first-line diagnosis and resolve minor technical issues
• Maintain knowledge base documentation
• Ensure SLA compliance

L2 Responsibilities:

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues
• Perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with L3, infrastructure, database, and security teams
• Manage patches, upgrades, and batch processing
• Support reconciliations and end-of-day processes
• Ensure compliance with IT governance and audit requirements
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the ticket resolution lifecycle
• Support operations teams with clarifications and technical guidance

✅ Professional Experience & Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in Banking L1/L2 Production Support
• Strong understanding of Run the Bank (RTB) operations and incident management
• Knowledge of core banking streams:
  • Retail Banking (Accounts, Deposits, Loans)
  • Treasury Operations
  • Wealth Securities & Corporate Actions
  • Payments

Solid experience with:

• Linux / Unix | Shell scripting | SQL & PL-SQL | Log analysis
• Dynatrace | Kubernetes (K8) | Docker | Ansible| Banking APIs, interfaces, and middleware
