Syensqo SA in Lisbon is seeking a Finance professional to support management accounting, costing, and inventory/accounting tasks. The role involves collaborating with site controllers, auditing support, and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, a degree in Finance or related fields, and proficient SAP/M365 skills. The position offers hybrid work with regular onsite days in Lisbon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Management Accounting / Controlling / Costing / Inventory Accounting / Asset Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of M365 tools and SAP.
• AI tools: ability to use AI tools to support day-to-day tasks (with appropriate validation of outputs).

Job Responsibilities

• Work directly with key stakeholders (e.g., site controllers, industrial controllers, Country Accounting Managers) to gather inputs, align on conclusions, and ensure timely delivery—demonstrating strong follow-up and communication.
• Provide direct support to external auditors, including preparing audit-ready documentation, responding to questions, and coordinating timely follow-ups with stakeholders, with appropriate guidance and escalation when required.
• Execute internal controls (checklists, evidence collection, basic reconciliations) and contribute to continuous improvements to strengthen compliance with policies and procedures.

Experience and Skills

You will bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Management Accounting / Controlling / Costing / Inventory Accounting / Asset Accounting
• Strong knowledge of M365 tools and SAP
• AI tools: ability to use AI tools to support day-to-day tasks (with appropriate validation of outputs)

What we offer

• The Portuguese annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: 18,539.00€ to 22,600.00€. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
