OceanWave Maritime in Funchal, Madeira is seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support for clients and maintain smooth operation of computer systems. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, install and configure systems, and deliver end-user training in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years in IT support, strong Windows knowledge, and Portuguese fluency with good English.

Qualificações

• 2+ years IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 7/8/10).
• Experience troubleshooting hardware components (CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD).
• Familiarity with TCP/IP and basic network troubleshooting.
• Basic Active Directory understanding is a plus.
• Fluent Portuguese with good English communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Install and configure new computer systems and software.
• Perform regular maintenance such as updates and backups.
• Conduct end-user training on basic operations and software.
• Diagnose network connectivity issues and resolve them.
• Maintain records in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with teammates to address recurring issues.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Funchal Portugal As an IT Support Technician you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of their computer systems and networks Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues installing and configuring computer systems and providing training to end-users

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients via phone email or in-person
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops laptops printers and other peripherals
• Install and configure new computer systems and software applications
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on basic computer operations and software applications
• Diagnose network connectivity issues and resolve them in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all support activities in our ticketing system
• Collaborate with other team members to identify recurring technical issues and develop solutions

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience working as an IT Support Technician or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems Windows 7810
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware components such as CPUs RAM hard drives etc
• Familiarity with network protocols TCPIP and basic network troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of Active Directory domain environment is a plus
• Fluent in Portuguese both written and verbal with good English communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
