Nimber is seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide technical and functional support for critical applications, proactively managing incidents, and driving improvements. The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and close collaboration with development teams in a fast-paced hybrid environment in Porto.

You will participate in change management, assist with deployments, backups, monitoring, and capacity planning, and contribute to architecture discussions for new applications

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years in similar roles.
• Strong Linux/Windows admin skills.
• Experience with industrial schedulers (BMC/Control-M).
• Scripting skills: Shell, Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with servers and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
• Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, AD and Kerberos.
• Knowledge of container-based infrastructure.
• Fluent English (minimum B2).

Responsabilidades

• Effectively manage and solve production incidents.
• Follow-up and coordinate changes and technical operations.
• Participate in change management with development, sysadmin, DBA and networking teams.
• Keep documentation up to date for applications and architecture.
• Manage backup data and ensure running restore tests.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure per SLA.
• Control load capacity for applications.
• Participate in on-call and off-hours interventions.
• Contribute to automation and improvement of procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams on architecture for new apps.
