Nimber is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure Production Engineering team in Porto, Portugal. The role centers on automation, industrialisation and reliability of business-critical applications, ensuring smooth deployment and ongoing production support across Windows and Unix environments.

You'll work on scripting (Shell/KSH, PowerShell), CI/CD with Jenkins, monitoring, incident management and collaboration with development, infra and operations teams to improve

Qualificações

• Experience in DevOps/Production Engineering or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Hands-on Shell scripting (KSH) and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Micro Focus CSA (HCM).
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Good understanding of deployment, production monitoring and incident management.
• Ability to work effectively with development, systems, database and network teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and optimise application deployments across production environments.
• Automate operational processes and improve application reliability using Shell, KSH and PowerShell scripting.
• Support the industrialisation and standardisation of applications, ensuring consistent deployment and operational practices.
• Coordinate technical changes and infrastructure operations, including server migrations and planned maintenance activities.
• Manage application scheduling and batch processing activities.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy new application versions.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to critical services.
• Work with Windows and Unix environments, supporting application operations and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins.
• Maintain technical documentation covering application architecture, operational procedures and monitoring requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and operational efficiency.
