Job summary

Claranet Portugal is seeking a Field Technician to join our Madeira region team. The role focuses on providing onsite first and second-line technical support to end users, diagnosing incidents across Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and hardware, and maintaining networked infrastructure and collaboration equipment.

• Proven experience providing onsite technical support within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Client operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Solid understanding of local area networks (LAN).
• Experience using ticketing systems; Valid driver's licence and availability to travel within the region.
• Residence in the Madeira region.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line onsite technical support to end users.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents related to computer equipment and peripherals, Windows OS, and Microsoft 365.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, meeting rooms, and collaboration equipment.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software; log, track, and update incidents via ticketing system.
• Ensure requests are monitored through to resolution; liaise with internal/external technical teams as needed.
• Travel across the Madeira region to provide onsite support.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide first and second-line onsite technical support to end users;
• Diagnose and resolve incidents related to:
• Computer equipment and peripherals;
• Windows operating systems;
• Microsoft 365;
• Local networks and connectivity;
• Meeting rooms and collaboration equipment;
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software;
• Support the management of the local IT infrastructure;
• Log, track, and update incidents and service requests using a ticketing system;
• Ensure requests are monitored through to resolution;
• Liaise with internal and/or external technical teams when required;
• Travel across the Madeira region to provide onsite support.

You must have:

• Proven professional experience providing onsite technical support within a corporate environment;
• Strong knowledge of Windows Client operating systems and Microsoft 365;
• Solid understanding of local area networks (LAN);
• Experience using ticketing systems;Valid driver's licence and availability to travel within the region;
• Residence in the Madeira region.
