Job summary

Sysmex Europe SE is seeking a Field Application Specialist to join the Diagnostics team in Portugal, covering Leiria to the Algarve. This customer-facing role provides technical and scientific support, product demonstrations, and training for laboratory professionals.

The position is a 2-year fixed-term contract with potential for future transition. Will require extensive travel across the territory and collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Service teams to optimize workflows and ensure high

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in the IVD industry.
• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience delivering technical or scientific training.
• Willingness to travel across Portugal (Leiria to Algarve).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the application specialist for Hematology and Urinalysis solutions, providing expert support for analyzers and applications.
• Provide scientific, technical, and application support to laboratory customers.
• Deliver instrument demonstrations and workflow presentations.
• Train laboratory personnel and key users on products and applications.
• Support the sales team during customer visits, evaluations, and implementation projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor for laboratory workflow optimization.
• Participate in customer acquisition and account development activities.
• Gather market intelligence and competitor information.
• Organize and support scientific workshops, events, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Service, and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
