Job summary

BioLegend, Inc. in Portugal is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead sales across Central and Southern Portugal.

You will promote diagnostic solutions, build strong customer relationships, and travel the central territory to connect with new and existing accounts. The role requires bilingual English and Portuguese, a life sciences background, and a proven track record in sales within diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proactive follow-up approach.
• Experience in diagnostics or life sciences sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily activities aligned with regional objectives.
• Develop and implement tactical account plans within the territory.
• Own sales targets and forecasts across the defined customer base.
• Regularly analyse sales performance, market dynamics and trends.
• Promote diagnostics solutions and advise customers on workflow optimisations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and deliver customer training.
• Build and maintain customer relationships to identify new opportunities.
• Interpret tender documentation and prepare technical submissions.
• Promote full range of products and services to drive engagement and value.
