Executive Chef role at our luxury resort in Funchal, Portugal, overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and food operations with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving culinary innovation.

You will create menus reflecting local cuisine and seasonal ingredients, supervise kitchen staff, manage inventory, ensure health and safety compliance, and coordinate with other departments for special events and themed dinners.

As an Executive Chef at our luxury resort in Funchal, Portugal, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and food operations. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced chef who is passionate about creating exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain menus that reflect the local cuisine and seasonal ingredients
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality standards are met
• Manage inventory and ordering to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients
• Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high level of performance
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed dinners

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Creative flair and passion for culinary arts with knowledge of different cooking techniques
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, management, and guests
