SIXT is seeking an Engineering Manager for Strategic Fleet Planning in Lisbon, leading an ambitious team building decision-support software on AWS. You will partner with Product, Data Science, and Business units to translate fleet strategy into shipped software and drive end-to-end delivery.

You will coach engineers across technical and AI maturity, own outcomes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-impact initiatives, including AI adoption, security, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualificações

• Proven track record building and growing software teams.
• Hands-on production experience with Java or Golang on AWS.
• Experience with Postgres and event-driven systems (Kafka).
• Ability to assess AI-generated output for real engineering judgment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end delivery of Strategic Fleet Planning software.
• Lead and grow a colocated engineering team in Portugal.
• Coach engineers on technical and AI maturity.
• Manage cross-cutting initiatives like AI adoption and security.
• Partner with Product, Data Science and Business stakeholders.
• Challenge low-value asks and co-own the backlog.
