Job summary

Hexa is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to support database operations, architecture validation and continuous optimization within the corporate and investment banking sector. You will work in a complex technology environment, supporting critical database platforms with autonomy and strong operational discipline.

Responsibilities include incident management, performance optimization, architecture definition, security, backup and restoration, and collaboration with DevOps, infrastructure

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in database administration within complex IT environments.

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support database operations, architecture validation and continuous optimization within the corporate and investment banking sector. This opportunity involves working in a complex technology environment, supporting critical database platforms and contributing to business and technical initiatives with autonomy and strong operational discipline.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Maintain database operational conditions, including incident management, change management and service continuity.
• Analyze and optimize database performance, supporting application and IT teams with query analysis and technical recommendations.
• Contribute to business and technical projects, including database architecture definition, version management and obsolescence management.
• Document security, monitoring, backup and restoration solutions implemented across the database scope.
• Support DevOps practices and ensure alignment with infrastructure, operations and security standards.
• Coordinate with application, production, infrastructure and security stakeholders to help ensure database availability.
• Propose database architecture solutions consistent with production commitments and technology standards.
• Participate in technological monitoring related to database tools, cloud architectures and big data environments.
• Participate in on-call duty and operational support interventions when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• More than 9 years of experience in database administration within complex IT environments.
• Strong autonomy and the ability to operate across diverse database technologies and operational contexts.
• Experience supporting critical production environments, including incident, change and availability management.
• Ability to advise technical teams on database performance, query optimization and architecture decisions.
• Collaborative working style, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and support business-facing initiatives.
• Responsible, structured and solution-oriented approach to delivery, documentation and operational commitments.
