Join an IT team supporting data-driven initiatives within the banking sector. Based in Porto with a hybrid working model, this opportunity combines business analysis with hands-on data exploration, helping bridge business requirements and the information available across Oracle-based systems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Query and analyze database tables using SQL to understand available data, business rules and potential anomalies.
- Explore and profile raw data, identifying relationships, structures and data quality considerations.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI and Analytics professionals to translate functional requirements into clear technical requirements.
- Produce functional and technical specifications, including source-to-target data mappings.
- Support business stakeholders in defining feasible requirements based on the data available within Oracle systems.
- Design and execute functional test plans and technical data reconciliation activities.
- Coordinate across technical and business stakeholders to support effective delivery and informed decision-making.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, with practical exposure to data-intensive environments.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across business and technical teams.
- Clear verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain data constraints and requirements to different stakeholders.
- Collaborative, resourceful and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Professional working proficiency in English at C1 level.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- SQL, including JOINs, subqueries and analytical functions.
- Oracle databases and practical experience with tools such as PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, DBeaver or SQL Developer.
- Data analysis across tables, views, primary keys and foreign keys.
- Data profiling and identification of data anomalies and business rules.
- Functional and technical specification, including source-to-target data mapping.
- Functional testing and technical data reconciliation.
- Fundamental knowledge of data architecture concepts, including Data Warehouses and Data Marts.

- Professional working proficiency in Portuguese at C1 level.
- Professional working proficiency in French at B2 level.
