Job summary

Experimental Cocktail Club Porto is recruiting a Bar Assistant to join the team in Porto. You will support the Bar Manager and bartending crew with stock, mise-en-place, cleanliness, and guest service, ensuring a high standard of hospitality in line with the Experimental brand.

Ideal candidates have bar experience, strong organization, and excellent communication in Italian and English. Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bar assistant or similar role.
• Dynamic, motivated, and professional in appearance.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
• Teamwork and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and focus on guest needs.
• Fluent in Italian and English for guest interaction.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Restock bar with products, ingredients, ice, glassware, and equipment.
• Prepare bar mise-en-place (fruits, garnishes, syrups).
• Clean and organize bar, stations, and storage areas.
• Wash and polish glassware and utensils.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Support opening/closing duties and busy service periods.
• Follow hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock counts and inventories.
• Support the team with other bar-related tasks as needed.
