Job summary

Experimental Cocktail Club Porto is opening in the heart of Porto, seeking a Bar Assistant to help restock, mise-en-place and maintain an immaculate bar during service. You will work closely with the Bar Manager and bartender team, bringing energy, reliability and a guest-focused approach.

The role requires evenings and weekend availability, strong organizational skills, and professional communication in Italian and English. Training and mobility opportunities across venues are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a bar or similar role.
• Professional and presentable with strong teamwork.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Italian and English.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Restocking the bar with products, ingredients, ice, glassware and equipment.
• Preparing bar mise-en-place (fruits, garnishes, syrups).
• Cleaning and organizing the bar, workstations and storage areas.
• Washing and polishing glassware and utensils.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting replenishment needs.
• Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Supporting opening/closing duties and busy service periods.
• Following hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Assisting with stock counts and inventories.
• Supporting the team with other bar-related tasks as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Under the responsibility of the Bar Manager and working closely with the Bartender team, you will be responsible for:

• Restocking the bar with products, ingredients, ice, glassware and equipment,

ABOUT YOU

• You have proven experience as a bar assistant, or in a similar role.
• You are dynamic, motivated, and present yourself professionally.
• You have strong organizational skills, work efficiently, demonstrate good teamwork, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
• You pay close attention to detail and are attentive to customer needs.
• You communicate easily with both teams and guests, using appropriate and professional communication skills in Italian and English.
• Finally, you are available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
