Walter Tools seeks an Automation Engineer in Vila do Conde, Portugal to design and implement electrical projects for special-purpose industrial machines. You will develop electrical schematics, program PLCs, support commissioning, and provide technical assistance to national and international customers.

You should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, at least 2 years in industrial automation, strong English, and a proactive, customer-oriented mindset.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Experience programming PLCs, preferably Siemens TIA Portal.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and control systems.

Responsabilidades

What You Will Do

• Develop electrical projects for special-purpose industrial machines;
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation;
• Program PLCs and industrial automation systems;
• Participate in equipment commissioning and validation activities;
• Diagnose and resolve faults and technical issues related to automation and control systems;
• Provide specialized technical support to national and international customers;
• Prepare technical reports for interventions and support activities;

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and assembly teams in the development of innovative technical solutions.

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field;
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in industrial automation environments;
• Experience in PLC programming, preferably using Siemens TIA Portal;
• Knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems;
• Experience in creating and interpreting electrical schematics;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level);
• Strong interpersonal and customer-oriented skills;
• Proactive attitude, autonomy, and sense of responsibility;
• Availability for national and international travel.
