Job summary

Walter AG’s SERI division in Vila do Conde, Portugal, designs and manufactures clamping devices and turnkey automation solutions. We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our technical team and contribute to the full lifecycle of special‑purpose machines from design to installation and support.

You will develop electrical projects, create schematics, program PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal), and support national and international customers, traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial automation.
• Proficient PLC programming and able to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical projects for special-purpose machines.
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Program PLCs and industrial automation systems.
• Support equipment commissioning and validation activities.
• Diagnose faults and assist customers on site and remotely.
