Walter Tools seeks an Automation Engineer in Vila do Conde, Portugal to design and implement electrical projects for special-purpose industrial machines. You will develop electrical schematics, program PLCs, support commissioning, and provide technical assistance to national and international customers.

You should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, at least 2 years in industrial automation, strong English, and a proactive, customer-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Experience programming PLCs, preferably Siemens TIA Portal.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop electrical projects for special-purpose machines.
• Create electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Program PLCs and automation systems.
• Participate in equipment commissioning and validation activities.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in automation and control systems.
• Provide technical support to national and international customers.
• Prepare technical reports for interventions and support.
• Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and assembly teams.
