Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee software licenses and IT assets across our client base in Lisbon and beyond.

You will drive compliance, optimization and cost efficiency, using ServiceNow and SAM best practices, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, ethical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Senior Asset Manager.
• Expertise in ServiceNow for IT asset management.
• Strong SAM knowledge and practices.
• Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Ethics, integrity and client focus are valued.
• Teamwork and prioritisation are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of software licenses and assets, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Monitor license acquisition, assignment, installation and usage; identify discrepancies.
• Support evidence gathering for compliance analyses and ELP assessments.
• Identify idle or underutilized licenses and opportunities for reharvesting and optimization.
• Propose actions for license optimization to drive financial efficiency.
• Monitor licensing model changes and assist in vendor negotiations.

What will you do?

• Manage the full lifecycle of software licenses and assets, ensuring compliance and efficiency;
• Monitor software license acquisition, assignment, installation, and effective usage, identifying discrepancies and optimization opportunities;
• Support consulting in gathering evidence for compliance analyses and effective license position (ELP) assessments;
• Identify idle, underutilized, or unsuitable licenses according to user profiles;
• Propose actions for reharvesting, downgrading, reuse, and license optimization to achieve financial efficiency;
• Monitor changes in licensing models and metrics from key manufacturers, and assist in negotiations with vendors.
