Job summary

PrimeIT is seeking a Software Asset Management professional in Lisbon with 3 to 6 years of experience to optimize software licensing and asset usage.

You will manage licenses end-to-end, analyze data for compliance, and collaborate with consulting teams on ELIs and audits, while driving cost efficiency and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of software licenses and assets.
• Track licenses—purchased, assigned, installed, and used—identifying discrepancies and risks.
• Support consulting teams in gathering evidence for compliance assessments and ELP analysis.
• Identify unused, underutilized, or unsuitable licenses and recommend optimization strategies.
• Suggest reharvesting, downgrading, license reuse, and cost-saving strategies.
• Monitor changes in licensing models, metrics, and terms from major vendors.
• Support renewals, procurement, true-up/true-down activities, and vendor negotiations.
• Assist software vendor audits and licensing compliance processes.

We are looking for a Software Asset Management!

Location: Lisbon

Level of Experience: Mid (3 to 6 years)

Salary Package & Benefits: €1,750 to €3,500 (salary base) + Meal Allowance + Flexible Benefits

Main Tasks:

• Manage the full lifecycle of software licenses and assets.
• Track purchased, assigned, installed, and actively used licenses, identifying discrepancies, compliance risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Support consulting teams in gathering evidence for software compliance assessments and Effective Licensing Position (ELP) analysis.
• Identify unused, underutilized, or unsuitable licenses based on actual user requirements.
• Recommend reharvesting, downgrading, license reuse, and other optimization strategies to improve cost efficiency.
• Monitor changes in licensing models, metrics, and commercial terms from major software vendors.
• Support license renewals, procurement processes, true-up/true-down activities, and vendor negotiations.
• Support software vendor audits and licensing compliance processes.

Technical & Soft Skills:
