About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Application Production Support & Infrastructure Project Engineer to join an international IT environment supporting business-critical applications. The role combines two complementary areas: 75% Application Production Support, focused on Level 3 support, operational stability, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement. 25% Infrastructure Project Management, coordinating the technical delivery of infrastructure solutions and preparing applications for a smooth transition into production. You will work closely with Business Project Managers, Application Support teams, infrastructure specialists, developers, and international stakeholders. The position requires a solid technical background, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives from design through production deployment.

Your Mission

As part of the Application Production Support team, you will: Ensure the stability, availability, performance, and resilience of business-critical applications. Provide advanced Level 3 production support and coordinate the resolution of complex technical issues. Manage infrastructure projects from initial assessment through implementation and transition to production. Translate business needs into clear technical and infrastructure requirements. Coordinate technical contributors across infrastructure, application, cloud, security, and operations teams. Support the adoption of DevOps, Agile, automation, and cloud-based working practices. Ensure that solutions comply with internal architecture, security, resilience, governance, and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Production Support | 75%: Provide Level 3 support for business-critical applications and their underlying infrastructure. Investigate and resolve complex production incidents across application, middleware, database, operating system, and infrastructure layers. Monitor application health, performance, availability, and operational stability. Use monitoring and observability tools, such as Dynatrace, to identify issues and support root cause analysis. Coordinate incident resolution with development, infrastructure, middleware, database, network, and cloud teams. Define, review, and monitor production support SLAs and KPIs. Maintain and improve technical documentation, operational procedures, and support processes. Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvement, cost optimization, and risk reduction. Ensure that Application Support and Run the Bank teams have the knowledge and autonomy required to maintain operational conditions. Support production deployments, upgrades, technical migrations, and decommissioning activities. Plan and coordinate production operations outside standard working hours or during weekends when required by project criticality. Contribute to application resilience, infrastructure maintenance, security, and obsolescence management.
• Infrastructure Project Management | 25%: Manage IT infrastructure projects from initial planning through implementation and production handover. Take end-to-end responsibility for achieving project objectives within the agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. Coordinate technical teams and contributors involved in infrastructure and application projects. Act as the main technical point of contact for assigned projects. Translate business requirements into technical architecture and infrastructure needs. Ensure that technical solutions comply with internal reference architectures, governance processes, security requirements, and resilience standards. Plan and manage infrastructure capacity, technical dependencies, project risks, resources, and costs. Monitor project effort and budget, including resource allocation and man-days. Prepare and deliver clear project reporting to Application Production Support and Application Development and Maintenance management. Establish and coordinate project governance, including validation, monitoring, and steering committees. Ensure that cloud architecture, scalability, compliance, security, and cost management are considered throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate application and infrastructure decommissioning, obsolescence remediation, and technical resilience activities. Work closely with FinOps, Security, Decommissioning, Architecture, and Obsolescence Management teams. Prepare the transition from project delivery into production support, ensuring complete knowledge transfer and operational readiness. Identify synergies, shared technical components, and optimization opportunities across related projects.

What We’re Looking For

Production Support & Infrastructure

• Strong experience in Application Production Support, ideally in a Level 3 support environment.
• Good understanding of IT production activities, including: Servers, Storage, Networks, Middleware, Databases, Cloud infrastructure, Application deployment.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across multiple technical layers.
• Understanding of monitoring, observability, incident management, and production support processes.
• Ability to ensure application availability, resilience, operational stability, and performance.
• Experience supporting business-critical or highly regulated environments.
• Project Management experience managing technical or infrastructure projects from end to end.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects within scope, budget, resource, and timeline constraints.
• Strong understanding of IT project governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to define and apply appropriate project methodologies.
• Experience coordinating internal teams, external providers, and technical contributors.
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Strong risk anticipation, dependency management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience preparing applications and infrastructure for production handover.
