We're looking for an Technical Engineer – Production Support & Project Management (Lisbon/Porto)
We are looking for a Technical Engineer to join an international IT environment, with a role split between Level 3 Production Support (75%) and Technical Project Management (25%). The position combines hands-on technical expertise with end-to-end project coordination, working closely with infrastructure, application, business and IT teams.
The role covers production environments, infrastructure, application deployment and technical project delivery, with a strong focus on DevOps, Cloud, resilience and continuous improvement.
Professional Experience & Main Tasks
- Provide Level 3 Production Support for applications and infrastructure environments.
- Manage and coordinate IT infrastructure and technical projects from initiation to production.
- Define and implement technical architecture solutions supporting business applications.
- Coordinate technical teams, contributors and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality standards.
- Ensure project governance, reporting, steering committees and business validation activities.
- Support the transition of projects into Application Production / RUN environments.
- Monitor and manage risks, SLAs, KPIs, resilience, obsolescence and decommissioning activities.
- Work closely with Business, IT, Application Support, FINOPS and infrastructure teams.
- Contribute to the adoption of DevOps, Agile and Cloud methodologies.
- Perform technical actions when required, particularly across Linux, middleware, databases, automation and Cloud environments.
- Strong experience in IT Production Support / Infrastructure / Technical Project Management.
- Knowledge of Linux, WebSphere, Oracle, Autosys and CFT.
- Experience with Cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD, including Jenkins, GitLab CI and Azure Pipelines.
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of Ansible and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana or Monday.com.
- Understanding of IT governance, infrastructure resilience, security and regulatory requirements.
- Cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals is a plus.
