HCLTech is seeking an Application Production Support specialist for Mainframe systems to ensure reliability and performance of z/OS environments. The role focuses on incident and problem management, observability, and automation, with hands-on work in JCL and REXX and governance of batch processing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and participate in on-call rotations, with a hybrid work model and benefits like health and life insurance and meal allowances.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead operational strategies to ensure system reliability and performance
• Drive incident and problem management processes to minimize downtime
• Implement observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering practices
• Automate repetitive tasks and champion continuous improvement initiatives
• Support Mainframe and enterprise platform operations, primarily z/OS-based systems
• Manage CICS transaction processing to maintain optimal system performance
• Develop and maintain JCL and REXX scripts for automation and job control
• Govern batch processing workflows and OPC scheduling operations
• Oversee release governance using Endevor and ensure operational readiness for new deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align operational goals
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members to build a resilient support team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in operational management and incident resolution
