Alongside is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to join a project focused on COBOL/Mainframe within a European market. The role emphasizes monitoring production and test environments, resolving complex mainframe issues, and ensuring SLA-compliant incident management.

Ideal candidates will have a IT support background (1–3 years), knowledge of Mainframe COBOL and Linux basics, and strong English communication. The position offers a hybrid Porto setup with growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1–3 years IT/support experience.
• Knowledge of Mainframe systems and COBOL.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in 24/7 environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure availability and stability of services in the European market by monitoring production and test environments.
• Assist in resolving operational alerts and incidents in Mainframe applications.
• Manage incident, change, and service request tickets to meet SLAs.
• Participate in critical incident procedures, root cause analysis, and post-incident reports.
• Create and maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, and best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams on application issues, enhancements, and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability and stability of services in the European market by monitoring production and test environments.
• Assist in the resolution of operational alerts and incidents, including complex issues in Mainframe applications.
• Support the management of tickets for incidents, changes, and service requests, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Participate in the execution of critical incident procedures, root cause analysis, and preparation of post-incident reports.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of operational procedures, knowledge articles, and best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams on application issues, enhancements, and maintenance tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience in IT support or production support (1-3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of Mainframe systems and COBOL.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
