Decskill is growing its AI practice in Lisbon/Porto, seeking an AI Engineer to deliver enterprise AI solutions and lead AI technology initiatives. You will design Generative AI and RAG-based use cases, collaborate with product teams, and implement end-to-end AI capabilities.

The role requires hands-on work with embeddings, vector databases, knowledge ingestion pipelines, and cloud services. Strong English communication is essential for collaboration across international teams.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer delivering enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and production-grade AI use cases.
• Solid experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Strong knowledge of embeddings, indexing, semantic search, vector databases, chunking strategies, and knowledge ingestion pipelines.
• Experience implementing prompt engineering, grounding strategies, source traceability, answer validation, and AI evaluation mechanisms.
• Experience developing AI solution components, reusable AI capabilities, and orchestration workflows.
• Experience integrating AI services through APIs, microservices, or cloud-native architectures.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, security, observability, and cost optimization for AI solutions.
• Experience with Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Functions or similar cloud services is a plus.
• Knowledge of ML concepts and AI model lifecycle management.
• Understanding of knowledge graphs, semantic models, and domain reasoning is a plus.
• Experience defining AI architecture options, technical trade-offs, cost models, and implementation approaches.
• Ability to support and guide product teams, developers, and business stakeholders on AI adoption.
• Familiarity with responsible AI practices, governance, data protection, and enterprise AI security requirements.
• Experience working in Agile environments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer, AI Solution Expert, AI Developer, or similar role delivering enterprise AI solutions


• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and production-grade AI use cases


• Solid experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions


• Strong knowledge of embeddings, indexing, semantic search, vector databases, chunking strategies, and knowledge ingestion pipelines


• Experience implementing prompt engineering techniques, grounding strategies, source traceability, answer validation, and AI evaluation mechanisms
