Decskill is seeking an experienced AI Architect to redefine how software is planned, built and operated in an AI-native world. You will bridge business, technology, and people to translate ambition into execution while balancing innovation, risk, and trust.

The role is hybrid in Lisbon and part of a team delivering transformative AI pipelines. You will lead model development, deployment, and MLOps practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape the company’s AI strategy and deliver

Qualificações

• At least 7 years with a strong background in software engineering, digital platforms, and large-scale technology delivery.
• Experience defining and executing AI or technology strategies in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a practical mindset.
• Experience with Large Language Models and the applied usage patterns.
• Experience with model monitoring, observability, MLOps tooling, and Agile.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms, especially AWS, and related AI/ML technologies and services is a plus.
• Experience with model comparison, security, privacy and FinOps in the context of AI is a plus.
• Knowledge about model quality, output validation and guardrails is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Implement robust CI/CD workflows for AI, ML, automate training pipelines, and ensure reliable monitoring, reporting, governance, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
• Continuously evaluate, benchmark, and optimise AI models and services for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to engineer AI-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

We would like to meet an AI Architect for a project with a hybrid working model in Lisbon, Portugal.

About the position

AI Architects will play a pivotal role in reimagining how software is planned, built, and operated in an AI-native world. Free from established patterns, they will explore entirely new engineering paradigms. We are not looking for who optimises the present, we are looking for who invents the future of software engineering. Participate in defining and drive the company’s AI strategy to enable the business and software engineering vision. Acting as a bridge between business, technology, and people, the role translates ambition into execution while balancing innovation, risk, and trust.

Responsabilities

• AI System Development: Architect, build, and optimise end to end AI pipelines, transforming complex requirements into scalable, production ready solutions.
• Model Training & Deployment: Develop, fine-tune, and operationalise machine learning and deep learning models, ensuring high performance and seamless integration into BMW's platforms.
• AIOps, MLOps & Automation: Implement robust CI/CD workflows for AI, ML, automate training pipelines, and ensure reliable monitoring, reporting, governance, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
• Performance Optimisation: Continuously evaluate, benchmark, and optimise AI models and services for efficiency, accuracy, and real-time performance in large-scale environments.
• Collaborative Solution Engineering: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, data experts, and product visionaries—to engineer AI-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
