Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a System-Level Modeling Engineer with SystemC and embedded software expertise to develop and validate silicon models and firmware for various components. You will collaborate with hardware and software architects, mentor juniors, and drive design reviews to ensure robust system integration.

We value 5+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++, OS fundamentals, and experience with SystemC simulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, with SystemC experience and low-level hardware interfacing
• Solid OS knowledge including drivers, memory management, bootloaders, scheduling and debugging (GDB)
• Ability to translate goals into concrete requirements, architectures and delivery plans
• Experience with SystemC simulators (e.g., Virtualizer, Helium) and scripting languages like Python/PowerShell
• Track record of shipped products with firmware/embedded software, preferably pre-silicon
• Knowledge in drivers, DMA, PCIe, NVMe, image/video decoders, networking, memory, boot flows, or power management
• English proficiency
• Residing in Poland required

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement models and validation firmware/software for silicon components (boot ROMs, PCIe, USB, compute clusters)
• Lead technical development of models, firmware and embedded software
• Collaborate with hardware/software architects to define specs and ensure system integration
• Mentor junior engineers in software design and firmware development
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability
• Drive debugging and optimization to improve performance and reliability
• Provide documentation for models, APIs and workflows
• Work in a diverse multidisciplinary team and contribute to collaboration
• Communicate progress, risks and technical challenges to stakeholders and management
