Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a System-Level Modeling Engineer to join our collaboration with a global technology leader. The role centers on SystemC-based models and SoC-oriented software interfacing directly with hardware in embedded environments, enabling impact across cloud services and security platforms.

You will architect and validate models, lead development, collaborate with hardware and software architects, mentor engineers, and document interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C or C++, with SystemC experience.
• Solid understanding of operating systems, drivers, memory management, bootloaders, and scheduling, together with debugging skills (GDB).
• Ability to translate ambitious, ambiguous goals into concrete requirements, architectures, APIs, and delivery plans, while providing clear updates to stakeholders.
• Experience with SystemC simulators (Virtualizer, Helium) and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Track record of shipped products containing firmware or embedded software, preferably in pre-silicon environments.
• Knowledge in drivers, DMA, PCIe, NVMe, image/video decoders, networking controllers, memory controllers/training, boot flows, or power management.
• English proficiency; residing in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement models and validation firmware/software for silicon components (boot ROMs, PCIe, USB).
• Lead the technical development of models, firmware, and embedded software.
• Collaborate with hardware/software architects to define specifications and ensure system-level integration.
• Mentor junior engineers in software design, firmware development, and best engineering practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Drive debugging and optimization to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide clear technical documentation for models, APIs, and workflows.
• Work in a diverse, multidisciplinary team and contribute to collaboration.
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges to stakeholders and management.
