Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a System-Level Modeling Engineer with SystemC and embedded software experience to join a collaboration with a global technology leader. You will model, simulate, and validate silicon components, leading model development and mentoring peers in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ with SystemC hands-on experience and low-level hardware interfacing.
• Solid OS knowledge: drivers, memory management, bootloaders, scheduling; strong debugging skills.
• Ability to translate goals into concrete requirements, architectures and APIs.
• Experience with SystemC simulators and scripting languages (Python/PowerShell).
• Experience shipping firmware/embedded software, preferably pre-silicon environments.
• Knowledge of drivers, DMA, PCIe, NVMe, decoders, memory controllers/training, boot flows.
• Good English communication; residing in Poland is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement models and validation firmware for silicon components.
• Lead development of models, firmware, and embedded software.
• Collaborate with hardware and software architects to define specs.
• Mentor junior engineers in software design and firmware development.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure high-quality solutions.
• Drive debugging and optimization to improve performance and reliability.
• Create technical documentation for models, APIs, and workflows.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to collaboration.
• Communicate progress, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
