Full Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales team, achieving sales targets, and expanding the company’s customer base. The role oversees sales operations, monitors team performance, develops client relationships, and works closely with management and other departments to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and sales objectives.
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the sales team.
- Develop sales plans based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals.
- Identify new sales opportunities and potential markets.
Sales Team Management
- Supervise, lead, and motivate the sales team to achieve assigned targets.
- Assign sales territories, accounts, and responsibilities to team members.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to sales personnel in handling customers and closing deals.
Business Development and Client Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and corporate accounts.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations when necessary.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
Sales Operations
- Monitor daily sales activities, quotations, orders, and customer transactions.
- Ensure proper implementation of sales procedures and company policies.
- Coordinate with branches and other departments regarding product availability, pricing, orders, and customer requirements.
- Monitor sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up of leads and prospects.
Sales Performance and Reporting
- Track sales targets, achievements, conversion rates, and other sales metrics.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
- Analyze sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend corrective actions and strategies to improve sales performance.
Marketing and Promotions Support
- Coordinate with the Marketing team on promotional campaigns and sales activities.
- Provide sales insights and market feedback to support marketing strategies.
- Assist in developing sales promotions, product launches, and customer acquisition activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of sales and promotional programs.
Inventory and Product Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, and branch teams regarding product availability and inventory requirements.
- Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products and provide recommendations based on sales performance.
- Ensure that sales activities are aligned with current product availability and pricing.
Team Training and Development
- Conduct sales training, product briefings, and coaching sessions.
- Develop team members’ selling, negotiation, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Identify training needs and recommend appropriate development programs.
Reports and Administration
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, and sales documentation.
- Prepare sales forecasts, presentations, and management reports.
- Ensure timely submission of required sales reports.
- Perform other sales-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial experience.
- Experience in team management, business development, account management, and sales operations.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and developing sales strategies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Customer-focused, results-oriented, and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience in retail, B2B, corporate sales, or technology-related products is an advantage.
- Willing to coordinate with multiple branches, clients, and departments.
- Willing to work in an office-based setup.
