About the role
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Sales Team in achieving the Company's sales, revenue, and business development objectives. The position oversees the development and execution of sales strategies, establishes team and individual targets, monitors performance, and ensures that sales activities are aligned with overall Company goals.
The Sales Manager is responsible for coaching, training, and developing sales personnel, including Sales Associates and Sales Executives. The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills to identify market opportunities, improve sales processes, and drive sustainable business growth. The Sales Manager will also coordinate with other support departments to address client requirements, resolve sales-related concerns, and ensure smooth execution of sales commitments.
Key responsibilitieS
- Develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans aligned with the Company's business objectives and establish sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential clients; analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to guide business strategies
- Set and communicate individual and team sales targets based on business requirements and monitor actual sales performance against targets
- Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate the Sales Team to achieve individual and organizational targets
- Conduct onboarding and training for newly hired sales personnel and develop sales training programs covering product knowledge, prospecting, client handling, negotiation, and closing techniques
- Review existing sales processes and procedures and establish standardized procedures for lead management, prospecting, quotations, and reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely sales forecasts based on sales pipeline, historical performance, and market conditions
- Support the Sales Team in handling key accounts, major negotiations, and escalated concerns
- Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Accounting, HR, and other departments to address client requirements and ensure sales commitments are properly communicated
- Make data-driven recommendations regarding sales strategies, manpower, territories, and resource allocation
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field
- At least 5 years of proven sales experience, with significant experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Proven track record of leading a sales team and achieving sales targets
- Strong understanding of sales management, business development, and customer relationship management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market information
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of sales forecasting, target setting, pipeline management, and performance monitoring
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork, client meetings, and business development activities when required
