Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking an experienced Virtual Medical Assistant to support a U.S.-based pulmonology practice. This remote, part-time role (30 hours/week) combines front-desk patient communication with back-office medical records management.

You will handle a high volume of calls, coordinate patient requests, process records, and work with the clinical team to maintain HIPAA compliance and efficient clinic operations from a home office.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant supporting U.S.-based healthcare practices.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, empathetic and patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare workflows, medical terminology, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume patient calls and inquiries with accurate documentation.
• Process medical records requests and coordinate with billing while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth communication across locations and develop SOPs.
