Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to support a U.S.-based pulmonology practice from a remote location. This front-desk focused role combines patient communication with medical records management, requiring professionalism and empathy across high-volume interactions.

You will handle inbound calls, schedule appointments, manage HIPAA-compliant records, and coordinate with the billing and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Virtual Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience in patient communication and medical records processing.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare workflows and HIPAA.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume patient calls, confirm appointments, and direct requests.
• Triage emails and EMR messages, document accurately.
• Coordinate with bilingual staff to assist Spanish-speaking patients.
• Process medical records requests and support billing coordination.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and SOPs.
